  12. With the next US Chapter DECUS Symposium looming next month, I was
  13. curious to ask a few questions of the DECUS membership that lurk in the
  14. vast expanse of Usenet.  Why a world-wide posting?  Well, even if the
  15. US Chapter does not allow non-US residents to be "members" of the US
  16. Chapter, there are a lot of non-US resident attendees at a US Symposium
  17. (to be fair, there are a lot of US resident attendees at non-US DECUS
  18. Symposia as well, but enough of that).

  20. If you could take a few moment and answer the following, I will try to
  21. post a summary here, as well as presenting the results at the Open Board
  22. meeting at the US Symposium in Las Vegas in December.  Please note that
  23. you can substitute "you or someone from your company" for "you" in all
  24. of the questions below (even if it may result in a grammatically
  25. incorrect phrase :-).

  27. - Are you planning on attending the Fall 1992 DECUS US Chapter Symposium?
  28. - If so, have you already registered for the symposium?
  29. - Have you attended a US Chapter Symposium in the past?
  30. - If so, when was the last US Chapter Symposium you attended?
  31. - If you are not planning on attending the FALL 1992 DECUS US Chapter
  32.     Symposium, could you detail the reasons behind this decision?
  33. - Are you a member of the US Chapter of DECUS?
  34. - Are you a member of any other Chapter of DECUS?
  35. - Are you a consumer of other "DECUS Products", such as the library, the
  36.     Newsletter, DECUServe, Regional Conferences, Local User Groups, etc.?

  38. I will try to post a summary of all responses after the symposium, and
  39. will present that summary at the Open Board of Directors meeting at the
  40. Fall 1992 US Chapter Symposium in Las Vegas.  But, since I leave the
  41. country in a few days (heading down-under before Vegas), don't be
  42. surprised by the auto-response from vacation.
