- I'm a graduate student in Technical Communication at RPI, and I'm writing a
- report on the application of multimedia in job training. I would greatly
- appreciate any information you could give me about:
-
- who is currently using a multimedia platform for job training
- - what is the platform
- - what *kind* of training are they doing (company orientation,
- software tutorials)
- - how much are they spending (the cost of equipment &
- development)
-
- who plans to use a multimedia platform for training
-
- what are the ranges of multimedia platforms
- - is hypertext with animation considered "multimedia"
- - given the state of most company's equipment(often
- primitive), what kind of multimedia or other training programs
- can be developed on that equipment
-
- what do *employers* say about the advantages of multimedia training
-
- how do people who have been trained on multimedia platforms feel about
- being trained by a computer rather than a person
-
- Although I'm using this information primarily for a report, I'm also
- curious because I think I would like to work in the field of job
- training or software tutorials, and I know I would like to take a
- multimedia approach to the field of technical communication.
-
- Thanks in advance for your help.
