  12. I'm a graduate student in Technical Communication at RPI, and I'm writing a
  13. report on the application of multimedia in job training. I would greatly
  14. appreciate any information you could give me about:

  16. who is currently using a multimedia platform for job training
  17.     - what is the platform
  18.     - what *kind* of training are they doing (company orientation,
  19.         software tutorials)
  20.     - how much are they spending (the cost of equipment &
  21.         development)
  22.  
  23. who plans to use a multimedia platform for training
  24.  
  25. what are the ranges of multimedia platforms
  26.     - is hypertext with animation considered "multimedia"
  27.     - given the state of most company's equipment(often
  28.         primitive), what kind of multimedia or other training programs
  29.         can be developed on that equipment
  30.  
  31. what do *employers* say about the advantages of multimedia training
  32.  
  33. how do people who have been trained on multimedia platforms feel about
  34.     being trained by a computer rather than a person
  35.  
  36. Although I'm using this information primarily for a report, I'm also
  37. curious because I think I would like to work in the field of job
  38. training or software tutorials, and I know I would like to take a
  39. multimedia approach to the field of technical communication.
