- "COLOUR PERCEPTION, MODELLING AND DISPLAY"
-
- a one-day tutorial by
-
- LINDSAY MACDONALD
-
- organised by Eurographics UK.
-
- Friday 20 November 1992, at Cosenor's House, Abingdon, Oxford. UK.
-
- DESCRIPTION: This tutorial will cover both theoretical and practical
- aspects of the perception and use of colour in computer graphics and
- imaging applications. The morning sessions will provide an overview of how
- we see, organise and model colour, with reference to recent research into
- colour appearance modelling. The afternoon sessions will deal with
- displays and printing processes, with practical techniques for calibration
- and colour control, plus guidelines for making the best use of colour for
- the presentation of information in displays. The tutorial comprises four
- modules, as follows:
-
- - Light, colour and human vision
- - Colour appearance and modelling
- - Reproduction of colour in display and print
- - Guidelines for using colour effectively in displays
