  12. I used to think that a!b@c meant "give the message to a with address
  13. b@c" (Perhaps that's what smail 2.5 did?).  Lately I've been seeing
  14. lots of address binding @ the other way:  "deliver to c with address a!b".

  16. In other words, which is it:

  18.     a!b@c    ->    @c:a!b
  19.     a!b@c   ->    @a:b@c
  20.  
  21. And what of:
  22.  
  23.     b%a@c
  24.  
  25. Is there a standard which addresses this?  Are most sites giving
  26. @ higher precedence, or !?
