- Let me see if I can help you out here....
-
- The first place I would suggest you call is someone like Cleo
- Communications. Last I knew, they do boards and APIs for most protocols
- and BSC 3270 is something I tested with them a couple of years ago.
- Sorry, I don't have the phone number readily available (it's at work).
-
- Regarding modems, it will of course depend in part on those being used at
- the host. The basic requirement is that it support SYNCHRONOUS
- transmission. Speeds and duplex characteristics will depend in part on
- how the whole thing gets configured in the end and the limitations of
- either the host or the pc board.
-
- I haven't seen anything recently that is dedicated to BSC3270. Most of
- the James Martin books that pertain to data communications do a fair job
- of covering BISYNC but seem to go into real detail about 3270. Maybe the
- people you eventully get hardware from can suggest something.
- Alternatively, if all else fails, I may be able to type something for you
- that covers my experience with it.
-
- Hope this helps.
