  24. SCOPE OF CONFERENCE:
  25.  
  26. The goal of the First Canadian Workshop on FPGAs is to provide a forum 
  27. for a discussion on design and applications of field programmable 
  28. arrays.  It is hoped that this forum will be conducive to the exchange 
  29. of ideas between the academic and industrial communities.
  30.  
  31. To facilitate this exchange, opportunity will be given to major industrial 
  32. leaders to pass on their latest developments to their colleagues in 
  33. both the industrial and academic community.
  34.  
  35. A number of hands on workshops will be available so that designers 
  36. will be able to form comparisons of todays technologies, devices, 
  37. and design tools.

  40. UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS:

  42. Universities will have the opportunity to show the results of their 
  43. FPGA activities in education as well as research.  This can either 
  44. be in the form of poster demonstrations or presentation.

  63. Initial submissions of papers should be limited to ten pages including 
  64. titles pages and figures.  The final submission of  a paper should 
  65. be in a camera ready format. Initial submission deadline is February 1, 1993.
