- It could be a vacuum leak or valves out of adjustment. You should
- put a vacuum gauge on the engine to rule out those possibilities.

- I think the fuel pump is an electric one which is back by the gas
- tank, not under the hood. Not sure what the sound you are hearing
- is, especially since you can here it when the engine is not running.
