- If power is reaching the motor, then it is possible that the motor's brushes
- have worn out. The brushes (on my car) are plugs about 2/3" long and
- held against the commutator by springs. When the plugs have worn down enough,
- ( < 1/4") the springs can no longer push the plugs against the commutator.
- If a new motor is expensive, try an electric motor repair shop. For me it was
- $200 for a new one vs. $40 to get the old one fixed.
