  16. Regarding problems printing on Deskjet 500s, I'll just add 3 or 4 cents
  17. worth (1967 dollars): I've been using the non-Lingua version with
  18. the DJ500. The driver works fine for basic stuff, but still needs some
  19. refinement for things like sub/superscripts. The method for scripting
  20. was changed between the beta and "final" release versions - neither
  21. approach is entirely satisfactory. The first used smaller fonts, and tended
  22. to shift the scripts too much. The later version used the same size font,
  23. and a half-line shift. As far as using non-built-in fonts (e.g. cartridges),
  24. NBI is still working on that. Same for downloadable fonts available from
  25. HP. I spoke to Rebecca about this about a month ago, and she said she might
  26. be able to polish up the drivers that weekend (I hope they're paying her
  27. a lot), but alas, I never heard from her again. I recommend DJ users
  28. send imploring/begging/threatening letters (as appropriate to your
  29. personality) and maybe NBI will get around to completing these drivers
  30. sooner.
