  19. A very good reference for matrix differentiation of all sorts is the
  20. book "Matrix Differential Calculus with Applications in Statistics and
  21. Econometrics" by Jan R. Magnus and Heinz Neudecker (Wiley, 1988).
  22. Includes foundational material and lots of good applied tricks too.
