- In general the diesel engine is by far the most efficient.
- In a car the engine has an efficiency of up to 40% while a turbine only
- can get up to about 30% in a large powerplant. This has to do with the
- fact that the maximum temperature inside a "piston engine" can be mush higher
- than in a turbine. I would expect a gasoline engine to be about as efficient
- as a turbine.

- One more problem with the turbine is that a simple 1 axel tubine
- won't work since the turbine will only work at it's optimum at a fixed speed.
- Cars don't travel at fixed speeds. A more expecive 2 axsel system would be
- quite good, but the power turbine to has a relatively narrow "efficency band".
