- I have a Toyota 4Runner with a swapped-in Toyota 22RT Turbo engine.
- Although all the fuses and the wiring were taken from the original
- pickup the engine came from, I still have to fight with problems
- outlined in some of the articles I just read: transmission is slowly
- giving up (bearings are a weak componenet in all these older Toyota
- 4x4s, I didn't take the tranny from the junked pickup). Even the rear
- end is a stronger design on the turbo trucks, but I haven't had any
- trouble with that (yet). I figured "it's a truck, it is built to last",
- but then I didn't own it for most of its 245,000 miles ;-). Right now
- I have some strange electrical problems: something is drawing power from
- my battery and I cannot find the source - even after removing all fuses
- and unplugging stereo (anybody got a hint?). And I thought I did
- everything right...
