- If that doesn't do it, it sure sounds like a dead battery. Don't forget, the
- starter draws lots of current, more than are required by the indicator and
- inside lights. When you turn the key to start, put a meter across the battery
- terminals, if the voltage drops to between 1 and 9 volts, it's the battery, if
- it goes to 0, there is a short to ground somewhere in the starter circuitry.
