  22. It would IMHO violate the spirit that stood behind the original
  23. thoughts of software and programming freedom. Not only that software
  24. published by FSF surely gets ported to Apple computers (and the ones
  25. to benefit from this fact are at first the users and programmers of
  26. Apple computers, maybe they use Apple machines not at their own choice
  27. - I know such cases well...) but the whole *concept* of free software
  28. surely needs 'portation' into the Apple user community as well, given
  29. the prices usually charged for usable Apple programs. There are a lot
  30. of programmers who are willing to write free programs or port existing
  31. ones to Apple computers for the benefit of Apple users, and support
  32. this by using the GPL for their own Apple programs, for the benefit of
  33. Apple users again. Why unnecessarily embarassing them by a
  34. no-Apple-clause?

  36. I do in no way support Apple's lawsuits, but I don't support the
  37. notion of backfiring by similar means (exclusion) either. (To prevent
  38. the usual flames: I have absolutely no connection to Apple Computer
  39. Inc. or supporting comanies.)
