  27. Indeed, they don't.  They also don't contain Kleenex components in
  28. some substantial form.  "Berkeley UNIX" is different -- it is based
  29. upon AT&T code and its distribution is subject to an AT&T license.  I
  30. think lawyers for BSDI, etc. would have a difficult time arguing
  31. convincingly that a significant number of people who know what "UNIX" is
  32. are unaware that "Berkeley UNIX" contains AT&T licensed code.  The
  33. term "UNIX" has not fallen into common use in the sense than it refers
  34. to any "UNIX-like" product.  To ensure that this does not happen AT&T
  35. must (and has) taken action to prevent BSDI from using the trademark
  36. in an inappropriate way.
