- Indeed, they don't. They also don't contain Kleenex components in
- some substantial form. "Berkeley UNIX" is different -- it is based
- upon AT&T code and its distribution is subject to an AT&T license. I
- think lawyers for BSDI, etc. would have a difficult time arguing
- convincingly that a significant number of people who know what "UNIX" is
- are unaware that "Berkeley UNIX" contains AT&T licensed code. The
- term "UNIX" has not fallen into common use in the sense than it refers
- to any "UNIX-like" product. To ensure that this does not happen AT&T
- must (and has) taken action to prevent BSDI from using the trademark
- in an inappropriate way.
