- I have installed several dataless 220's with AIX 3.2.2. When issuing
- a
- shutdown -F
- on the dataless machines, the machines appear to hang before getting
- the halt completed. The problem would appear that the network interfaces
- are brought down (lo0 and en0) then a message appears that the tcpip
- lock files will be removed, then a message that the nfs server is not
- responding.
-
- If indeed the lock files are removed after the network interfaces are
- brought down, and these being dataless clients the lock files are
- on the server, this would indeed pose a problem.
-
- Known problem? Known fix?
-
- A call was made to IBM on Friday, but I am working the weekend in hopes
- of getting a lab ready.
-
- Thanks;
