  10. I have installed several dataless 220's with AIX 3.2.2.  When issuing
  11. a
  12.      shutdown -F
  13. on the dataless machines, the machines appear to hang before getting
  14. the halt completed.  The problem would appear that the network interfaces
  15. are brought down (lo0 and en0) then a message appears that the tcpip
  16. lock files will be removed, then a message that the nfs server is not
  17. responding.

  19. If indeed the lock files are removed after the network interfaces are
  20. brought down, and these being dataless clients the lock files are
  21. on the server, this would indeed pose a problem.

  23. Known problem?  Known fix?

  25. A call was made to IBM on Friday, but I am working the weekend in hopes
  26. of getting a lab ready.
