  13. I am having a problem with PC-NFS and a Sun 3/60.  The problem is not
  14. critical; it is just plain annoying.
  15.  
  16. I upgraded three IBM PS/2 Model 70-A21's from PC-NFS 3.0.1 to PC-NFS 4.0
  17. two days ago.  Now, whenever one of them logs into the Sun, the console
  18. of the Sun displays an error message similar (but not exactly like) to the
  19. following:

  21. [date] [time] pcnfsd[100]: rpc.pcnfsd: fail on yp_bind
  22.  
  23. Then, after a few minutes, the Sun console will say:
  24.  
  25. last error repeated [x] times (the number changes)
  26.  
  27.  
  28. There is NO Yellow Pages/NIS set up on these machines, and I have checked
  29. the setup of the ``rogue'' machine to make sure that PC-NFS does not THINK
  30. that there is any Yellow Pages/NIS service to which to bind.  I basically
  31. am BEWILDERED by this error... _ANY_ help would be appreciated.

  33. As I said, this is NOT critical; just annoying.  I HATE it when things don't
  34. work like they should....
