  10. I am having problems using ipfilterd. The machine is connected to our
  11. local ethernet and via slip to outside world, so it should act as a
  12. firewall for the traffic coming from outside.

  14. I have tried to define few allowed ports from outside, allow any
  15. packets coming from our ethernet and mostly reject everything else.
  16. There are some sample filters in the ipfilterd.conf file that comes
  17. with the system. I have tried using them with no luck. "accept
  18. ip.netCsrc 192.98.4.0" doesn't accept any packets (I have also tried
  19. about the same with and without the macro and different parenthesis).
  20. I have to list every host one by one to allow the traffic.

  22. Is there anyone who has used ipfilterd and could mail me an example of
  23. a working configuration file?

  25. The machine is an Indigo XS24 running Irix 4.0.4.
