- I am having problems using ipfilterd. The machine is connected to our
- local ethernet and via slip to outside world, so it should act as a
- firewall for the traffic coming from outside.
-
- I have tried to define few allowed ports from outside, allow any
- packets coming from our ethernet and mostly reject everything else.
- There are some sample filters in the ipfilterd.conf file that comes
- with the system. I have tried using them with no luck. "accept
- ip.netCsrc 192.98.4.0" doesn't accept any packets (I have also tried
- about the same with and without the macro and different parenthesis).
- I have to list every host one by one to allow the traffic.
-
- Is there anyone who has used ipfilterd and could mail me an example of
- a working configuration file?
-
- The machine is an Indigo XS24 running Irix 4.0.4.
