- What about doing a Call For Discussion on
-
- "Comp.Sys.NeXT.Junk: The creation of a news group which may or may not fly"
-
- with the proposed charter
-
- "comp.sys.next.junk will be a forum that is completely commercial in
- nature, doesn't have a signal limitation on posting content and most
- of all will not have a moderator. To boot, the group will allow
- prices, agressive comparisons between product vendors as well as
- 'come on down' advertisements in Rich Text Format as well as sound
- inclusions containing the sexy and slick sales slogans of hot
- ladies sitting at a bar in Palo Alto next to a fireplace poking a
- pencil into their heads." ;')
-
- I see this as a group which will be the marketing battle ground which
- not very many people will be interested in receiving, as well as
- some nets not carrying. When you allow pricing and agressive comparison
- (third party or not) you may very well end up making another group
- similiar to the hypothetical c.s.n.j.
