- Well, it depends on what you want to do with it. If you don't need color now
- or later on, then don't do the upgrade se to se/30. With $750 you can easily
- get a 33mHz 030/882 accelerator w/o the video option, and it will run about
- 2x faster than the se/30. Or you can get a 25mHz 030/882 accel. with video
- option for about the same price (compatible with most fpd or tpd in the market)
- and still running faster than the se/30 (actually if you look at specs review
- in the macuser/macworld back issues, it will run faster than a iici with cache)
- If you want the option of color, get a iisi/lc if you can get edu. discount,
- but wait until apple introduces new machine (another price drop, I hope). THe
- se/30 is nice, but but you still need to get a color card for color. Someone
- argues that iisi is slow, but if you put in a color card (about the same
- price as those for se/30), you should get a faster machine for comparable price
