- There are several different accelerators out there. From time to time,
- MacWorld and MacUser run comparison reviews (though the last MU review was
- a complete washout, no SE or Plus accelerators). Mac NewLife accelerators
- seem to be a fairly good choice as they've concentrated on the Plus for
- awhile.

- To get a 4x speed increase, you'll need a 16MHz accelerator based on the
- 68030 processor (double clock, 32 bit data path) with on-board memory.
- One point to consider is that the power supply of the Plus was never meant
- to contain such a creature (no fan, either) so you might want to investi-
- gate the possibility of replacing it.
