- True the SE/30 is faster than the si, but that's not the only issue. As I
- recall he wanted to sink over $900 into his SE to upgrade it. That really
- doesn't make economic sense with a computer of that age. Regardless of
- what you think his SE should be replaced with, he's gonna do better to SELL
- the old SE and buy another computer. Maybe a used SE/30. Still, I think it
- would be tough to beat the sale price on the si now for price/performance.
- Plus you have to remember that you get a one year warranty with a new machine
- and since it is NEW it should last longer. The upgraded SE may have a new
- motherboard, but the mouse, hard disk, keyboard, screen, etc all have 3 or
- 4 years use on them.
