- Panorama II has a very good macro language and it is very powerful.
- It is the fastest flat-file database package available.
- The lookup function is quite handy, and it does a pretty good job
- of giving P2 relational capabilities. Of course, it is not a
- true relational database, so don't expect too much. :-)
-
- The one thing that Filemaker Pro has over P2 is a better interface.
- However, if you're going to be creating custom databases, you can
- control what the interface will be using buttons (including icons),
- pull-down menus and more.
-
- Filemaker is probably a little easier to use and it is more powerful
- in the layout design. However, P2 layouts are also pretty easy to
- design.
-
- P2 does support multi-user databases, although I've never used one.
- Come to think of it, I haven't created one, either. Technical support
- from Provue is quite good. Very nice people there.
