- I have a feeling that I'm overlooking something simple, but I am
- having trouble getting a Bitfax modem to autoanswer. We got it
- about a year ago, but didn't get around to setting it up until
- now. In the meantime, we lost the manual.
-
- I've loaded the RECVFAX into background memory, on autoanswer,
- and tried using Alt-Y in Procomm, but in neither case will it
- pick up the phone. Do I have to reset dip switches to have it do
- so? (This is a Dell PC compatible, which requires unscrewing the
- cover to get at the boards, so I'm not eager to crack it open
- until I know.)
-
- If this isn't the correct group, I'll take directions on which
- one to go to.
