- Well, The original ISA was 6 Mhz (original AT) and then
- became 8 Mhz. Some Motherboards can drive the bus 8-16 Mhz, and
- some ISA cards can run at > 8 Mhz (The ultrastor 12(F) was designed
- for ISA operation at up to 16 MHz, I have run it at 12 MHz, which is
- where my Orchid Prodesigner II would stop working).

- 32 bit xfers are supported in all modes for EISA cards only. The
- bus controller handles data size translation between ISA - EISA - the system
- automatically.

- The different modes use different numbers of BCLK cycles and can vary the
- BCLK itself (1.5 BCLK cycles). I haven't really looked into the specifics
- of this, most of the above is what I can remember from an EISA tech ref I
- looked at after I bought my current EISA system....
