- I hope this is not a common question but I have not seen the
- answer here lately. We have a 425t running 8.00. We recently purchased
- an HP35470A DDS drive from Falcon. I got the drive and computer talking
- just fine. The problem arose when I tried to backup using SAM. The backup
- seems to go okay but then I choose the recover option and after it chugs
- for a bit (the DAT access light is coming on) it comes back with a
- message
-
- Frecover: not an fbackup volume cannot find volume header
-
- Also if I try to write again to it with another fbackup it says tape has
- been used x number of times before. x is the correct number.
- I am wondering if it is the minor number of the device file. They
- have these guidelines of closing style and rewind or no rewind in the
- sysadmin manual for backing up. I currently have it set at 0x0e0201 and
- have tried 0x0e0203. Any help would be appreciated.
