- Hello DECLand,
-
- I have a question. I am having a problem with Ultrix 4.2 using a 4mm
- DAT drive and a sequential tape stacker. The stacker runs fine in that anytime
- I send a `mt -f /dev/rmt2h rewoffl' to the DAT it rewinds and ejects the tape
- and the stacker puts the tape in the cassette pack and sequences to the next
- cassttte, loads it and the drive comes ready online.
-
- When I do a dump 0uf /dev/rmt2h /anyfilesystem where the total data
- exceeds the capacity one data tape all that happens is a OPCOM message. Does
- anyone out there in DECLand know of a parameter when using dump that will
- rewind and unload the tape like with a 9Track drive (TLZ07, TU81 etc..)?
-
- Also we are going to be using DEC's NSR (Legato Networker repackaged
- by DEC) does anyone have experience knowing if NSR will accomplish the above
- where a BACKUP exceeds tape capacity and spans multiple volumes?
-
-
- Many Thanks in advance...
