- The "problem" is that OTHER platforms have a lot of different
- compression formats. Add to this the fact that it's fairly easy to
- translate software to the ST. If there weren't any C compilers for
- the ST, then life would be wonderful, because we wouldn't have any of
- those "awful" archive formats that they have on other computers.

- There's really only a couple of unique Atari formats (the DC real-time
- compressor, and a couple of programs that compress executables), and
- they're seldom used for distribution purposes...

- It makes YOUR life easier, but not for the rest of us. I often will
- ftp files to my UNIX system, and check the dox to see if it's worth
- downloading (at a pretty LOUSY baud rate) to the ST at home.

- what's in it BEFORE I try downloading it. SEAs are NOT acceptable for
- this (common) purpose.
