- I need to know if anyone has experirnce with byte range locking between two dos
- sessions(VMDISK'd) and if it works properly.
-
- I have two identical commercial applications that do a lock on portions of a
- database (cc:Mail Gateway), and works very well with standalone PC's on a
- server based system. I am currently
- getting random timeouts from one or the other application (for the most part
- the locks work) but sometimes I get a conflict, and knocks one session out.
-
- The only clue I have is that I may not have enough CPU, and one session may be
- leaving a lock on too long for the other application. If this is the case, will
- the parameters that control TIMESLICE,etc. help?
-
- (I have DOS SHARE loaded in each session as it is require by the app for obvius
- reasons...)

- Thanks for the comments ...
