- I have been trying to get X to run; I tried the MSDOS clock.exe program,
- and got some clock settings, then ran startx without clocks specified
- and got different clocks in the error message each time. It also can
- not resolve some modes; 800x600 (I think because I don't have a listing
- in Modedb for the timings.)
- X starts up, but the screen is completely messed. I think that either
- the clocks are completely wrong AND/OR the list of timings in ModeDB are
- wrong.
- I have a Paradise card, 512K extra memory.
-
- I get clocks like:
- clocks 25 28 0 0 24 0 31 0
-
- and each time I run startx 2>clock.log with clocks line commented out; I
- get different clocks for all but the first two values (25 and 28).
-
- I didn't alter the ModeDB entries from the original.
-
- Please help!!!
