  37. I had this problem with shutdown in the mcc-interim package until I ran the
  38. 'ctrlaltdel' program in /etc/rc. Since I did that, it stopped hanging and 
  39. reboots properly.

  41. So, the answer is to do 'ctrlaltdel hard' sometime before the reboot.
