- I'm either having weird hardware problems or really bad luck on replacement
- disks.
-
- When I was upgrading from Coherent 3.1 (I was lazy), the first disk ran fine,
- but disk 2 hung on copying /bin/man with a read error. Disk 3 was also flakey
- but not always in the same place.
-
- So I was sent replacement disks for 2&3. And exactly the same thing happens!
- Disk 2 bombs on exactly the same file. I've tried swapping the floppy drive,
- but that doesn't change anything, nor does un-turboing the machine, increasing
- wait states, ...
-
- Hardware: 386-25 with ATI BIOS, CHIPS chip set, 8 meg ram, two Western
- Digital IDE drives, Oak VGA card.
