  11. Is there something wrong w/ the nn.tar.za? files in raven? Iftp'd 
  12. them, using binary transfer, and cat'd then attempted uncompress. 
  13. It dumps core, creating a partial nn.tar. ustar on that will give a 
  14. partial table of contents or start an extract, but only extract a 
  15. few files then stop. Also, there are not as many files in nn on 
  16. raven as on mwcbbs. Are some missing, perhaps? Could someone check, 
  17. and if needed correct this?

  19. I tried getting these from mwcbbs, but kept losing packets. sigh...

  21. On another matter, I am still trying to make wnews work. I earlier 
  22. posted my sys and active files. All owner, group, and permissions 
  23. I've checked. Running pnews gives-

  26. could not execute /usr/lib/news/inews

  29. except the article is not posted, either. Someone, pls help. If I 
  30. can get wnews working then I can begin the struggle w/ a 
  31. newsreader, if I can get a complete file. sigh....
