- SUBJECT: DFHSM/ABARS activity log routing
-
- We are experiencing a small problem with DFHSM and ABARS concerning activity
- log routing. I seems that ABARS activity logs are sent to the same location
- as all other DFHSM activity logs (in our case sysout). This makes it difficult
- for the user to scan these logs for good completion codes, since they have to
- find the correct ABARS job and then find their activity log. We tried sending
- the logs to DASD, which would make it easier for the user, but then all DFHSM
- logs are sent to DASD (which is a problem because we couldn't scan current
- HSM logs because of an EXCL ENQ placed of the log datasets).
-
- Has anyone run into this same problem and found a way around it? We are
- waiting on this problem before offering ABARS to our users.
