  28. because my note reading system doesn't provide me enough information
  29. to piece together Madeleine's email address for a personal reply:

  31. Madeleine, if anyone has been offensive here it is I who have 
  32. offended you.  I am truly sorry if that offhand remark at the
  33. end of my posting has caused you any discomfort.  My Webster's
  34. dictionary assures me that "whiz" is a derivative of "wizard",
  35. and gives, as an example of correct usage, "a whiz at math"!!!!
  36. I'm sorry... I'm an idiot... please don't hold it against me.

  38. I did enjoy the problem you posted, since I have done some work
  39. involving spatial data retrieval on the sphere.  If I can ever
  40. be of any assistance in this area, please feel free to contact
