  33. Behind the dash is the last place I would look.  Stuff back there is
  34. usually pretty foolproof unless you messed something up when you tried
  35. to pull the dash apart.
  36. Look at the fuse first.  Also there is a big (20 amp) inline fuse behind
  37. the dist. along the firewall.  For the high-speed position on the switch.
  38. I have replaced more than one of these fuses.  Sometimes the wire even
  39. gets fried.
  40. If both fuses check out, check for voltage at the fan.  I would bet
  41. the fan motor (about $20) dies on that car before the fan switch.
  42. The only two fan switches I ever replaced were on a '70 Malibu and my
  43. own '71 Monte.  (Both were the same part number and different from the
  44. one on a '77 Chev.)
