- Behind the dash is the last place I would look. Stuff back there is
- usually pretty foolproof unless you messed something up when you tried
- to pull the dash apart.
- Look at the fuse first. Also there is a big (20 amp) inline fuse behind
- the dist. along the firewall. For the high-speed position on the switch.
- I have replaced more than one of these fuses. Sometimes the wire even
- gets fried.
- If both fuses check out, check for voltage at the fan. I would bet
- the fan motor (about $20) dies on that car before the fan switch.
- The only two fan switches I ever replaced were on a '70 Malibu and my
- own '71 Monte. (Both were the same part number and different from the
- one on a '77 Chev.)
