- I don't think the 'more surface area' theory is correct. The force exerted by
- the pad against the rotor can be expressed as a vector quantity, I believe.
- This would mean that, for instance, in a v-shaped groove in the rotor, you would
- still be getting the same force as if it were a flat surface.
