  19. Indeed.  We switched over to gcc1.40/gdb3.5/gas1.38 a couple of 
  20. months ago and were excited about the real production quality of
  21. this development kit compared to the original rubbish.

  23. Many thanks to Steve Bleazard (sp?) for his wonderful XENIX 
  24. patches for gcc.  Meanwhile we are replacing one utility after
  25. the other with their GNU-counterparts, which were more 
  26. reliable, comfortable and better documented.

  28. BTW: Jochen Fahrner was right with his comments about 
  29. german distributors.  They know almost nothing about their
  30. products.  Our company has switched over all larger 
  31. SCO distributors here in germany during the last 4 years.
  32. There is no difference ... Very often they sell outdated releases
  33. (I think, I've just seen Advertisements for ODT 1.0 in 
  34. the july number of some magazine)... It is a mournful story ! ...

  36. Nevertheless: I don't know about other *NIX-vendors.
