- I finally got around to doing a backup ... :-)
-
- Here's what happened:
-
- # rdump 0uf sc:/dev/rmt0h /
- DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Wed Aug 26 16:25:02 1992
- DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
- DUMP: Dumping / to /dev/rmt0h on host sc
- ==> DUMP: bad sblock magic number
- DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted.
-
- I also tried 'dump 0uf >/dev/null' with similar results.
-
- I assume the "sblock" is the superblock. I ran 'fsck' on root, and it
- passed with flying colors. I also rebooted, tried to dump again, and
- got the same error message.
-
- Two questions:
-
- o What's wrong?
-
- and o How can I fix it?
-
- Thanks for any suggestions!
