  28. I don't know what your configuration is, so I'll sort of gargle out what I
  29. know about this, which really aint much.

  31. If you have just a PC/Mac sitting off a serial port of some Unix box, then
  32. all you have to do is turn the port on for logins, and when you enter kermit,
  33. set the speed right (9600 baud, etc) and make sure the bits are all okay, then
  34. type c (I think) to connect, and it should give you a connection.  Then just
  35. type as you normally would at some terminal.

  37. If you are using Kermit with a modem, then you need to connect to another
  38. modem on the other end.  Luckily for me, I have a large university which
  39. does this for me, so I can log in from home.
