  13. We have been thinking about the merits of using a 'workstation'
  14. server versus a 'desk side' server.  I would like to solicit
  15. any opinions and facts about this.  The new SCSI 1.3 GB disks
  16. seem to be about as fast as the IPIs.  The CPUs are basically
  17. identical.  The bus is different though (VME for the desk side
  18. and Sbus for the workstations).  
  19.  
  20. Our purpose would be purely as a disk server.  We currently
  21. use 470 with IPI disks, Network coprocessors, and prestoserve.
  22. Any comparisons of this against a SS2 or a SS10?
