- I had thought that file system locking was available under SunOS 4.1.2,
- but now that we've got a machine with 4.1.2 I can't seem to find any
- information about it. I think I'm locking for a command or system call
- called lockfs, but man can't find anything.
-
- I'd like to be able to lock our file systems while I do level 0 backups.
- I know some backup software can now do this, but until I can convince
- my employer to puchase a backup package I'm stuck with dump scripts.
-
- Where can I learn about locking our file systems, and what commands or
- system calls do I use?
-
- Thanks,
