- No new printers will be added to the base IRIX OS printer support.
- Support for any and all new printers will appear in future versions of
- Impressario, SGI's new printing software system. Part of Impressario
- is a Developer's Kit which is intended for third party vendors to add
- support for their own printers, freeing SGI to improve the base
- printing software.

- Seiko has expressed a great deal of interest in supporting their
- printers under Impressario, although I do not believe they have made
- an official announcement. If you'd like the name of the right person
- to pester about this, call Jeff Hayman, Product Support Manager at
- Seiko USA's Graphic Devices and Systems Division. His number is
- 408-922-5840.
