- For outgoing calls, it'll depend upon which softare you are using. For incoming
- logins, ``stty pass8 pass8out even odd'' should give you a start in the right
- direction.

- Unfortunately, getty/login have ``csh'' hardcoded as allowing 8-bit logins, and
- with an alternate shell you get flipped into 7-bit for your actual login (i.e
- we use tcsh at present).
