  27. matters is that it gets the job done."  So, why not a Commodore
  28. 64?  After all, a computer is just a computer.  A Commodore 64
  29. can get the job done, eventually.  Why did you waste *all* that

  43. Why?  PC advocates have posted numerous "price comparisons"
  44. here, but in every case the comparison was between a full-
  45. featured Mac and a fewer-featured PC, and you get downright
  46. nasty when people point out the things you've left out. Why
  47. are you afraid of an *honest* comparison?

  52. The reasons are not aesthetic, they are *human factors
  53. engineering* -- a discipline that no one in the PC world
  54. seems to have heard of.  Any advantage in human-factors
  55. design is constantly denigrated as "mere aesthetics" that
  56. aren't important to "true power users."  PC users brag about
  57. how much they know about CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT, WIN.INI,
  58. etc.  -- in other words, how *hard* their PC is to use.  It
  59. never occurs to you that having a machine that's easy to use
  60. could be an advantage.
