- Hi,
-
- I had a Plus and an external 20 M Apple HD. I bought a Quantum 105 and
- my intention was to change the drives by myself. They didn't get the
- drive to the shop on the day they promised and so they said they could
- do the work for me. They brought the disk to me home and everything
- seemed to be fine - but it came out they had formatted the disk using
- interleave 1:1. (should be 1:3 for Plus?)
-
- I tried to format the disk using my old Apple HD installer that I have got
- when I bought my HD. But it didn't recognice the new disk.
-
- If I start my Mac with a diskette the HD icon is on the desktop and the HD
- works. So, do I have to change the interleave to 1:3? And is it really
- so that Apple HD installer recognices only Apple HDs?
-
