- Hi, Sylvie. How much do you plan on spending? Matrox makes a switcher/
- special effects generator that's much more sophistacated than the Toaster.
- But a full system costs about $15,000 in addition to an EISA PC. It's called
- Matrox Studio. They also have software solutions using a program called
- Personal Producer and 3rd party hardware and a video grahpics board called
- Illuminator (similar to TARGA). Matrox's number is (800)361-4903. It's worth
- calling just to get the excellent color glossy. It's an impressive system.
- There also appears to be a product similar to the Toaster comming out for
- the PC. It's called Revolution and it's described as "PC based switcher w/DVE,
- Built in Y/C & Composite Inputs & Outputs, Built in A/B Roll Editor, 2 Channel
- DVE, Excellent Compression." Call STS Electronics at (305)979-1939 for more
- info.
- Later.
