- I've recently seem some post here and on FIDOnet about being able
- to install an XT drive and controller as a second disk on an AT
- class machine. I would like very much to be able to put the drive
- from my old XT into my current 386. I tried last night, but the
- system failed to boot completely. Not even '1701' etc.
-
- If anyone has actually done this, I would appreciate an E-mail note
- on how you did it. The technical specs are:
-
- XT drive: WD-1003 RRL controller with 30 Meg Kyocera drive (55ms)
- 386SX 209Mhx system w/ 120 Meg WD IDE drive (18ms)
-
- Thanx in advance, and of course if it works, I will post the receipy.
