- There are a very few programs, like Flight Simulator II and, I think, Atari
- Planetarium, which use a copy protection system that checks the disk drive's
- RPM. This doesn't work on the XF551 because it runs at 300 RPM instead of
- 288 like earlier Atari drives. So, to run Flight Simulator, you either have
- to boot from a 1050 drive or find someone with a pirated copy. Of course,
- there's the Flight Simulator cartridge, but I hear it doesn't work with
- scenery disks.
