- Oh, about the same as over copper, really. Maybe a little more. Until
- they give you a digital connection to your home you're going to be
- limited by the 3000 Hz bandwidth of voice grade analog phone lines. I
- personally think it's pretty darned amazing that they can squeeze
- 14,400 bps into 3000 Hz of bandwidth!

- I've heard the V.Fast standard described this way: Don't think of it
- as a data standard that can do 28,800 bps. Think of it as a standard
- that normally does 19,200 bps BUT UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS can go as
- high as 28,800.
